Kerry Paul Choi concentrates in professional malpractice, product liability and complex personal injury litigation, including motor vehicle cases requiring experts in accident reconstruction, occupant kinematics, materials engineering, biomechanics, and restraint systems. He is an experienced litigator, concentrating in these areas of the law since 1975, and has successfully tried and handled a substantial numbers of permanent injury and wrongful death cases in the Superior Courts throughout the Commonwealth. He has also successfully arbitrated and mediated products liability, malpractice and general liability cases.
Mr. Choi has taught as an Adjunct Professor at Suffolk University Law School where he has taught the “Advanced Torts” course, which includes aspects of both medical malpractice and products liability law. He has been designated a Super Lawyer since 2006, a distinction given to only 5% of the lawyers in any state as determined by their peers. He is Martindale-Hubble AV® rated, a certification mark indicating that his peers rank him at the highest levels of professional excellence. He has been a regular speaker, lecturer and panel member on continuing legal education programs in the areas of trial practice, negligence and tort law for the Massachusetts Bar Association, Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys, and Suffolk University. Kerry has served as Co-Chairman of the Trial Practice and Procedure Committee of the Massachusetts Bar Association. He also served on the Budget and Finance Committee of the Massachusetts Bar Association. He was also appointed to the Committee of the Massachusetts Bar Association that provides oversight to its Lawyer Referral Service. He has served on Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc.’s. Curriculum Advisory Committee for Personal Injury Litigation. He has served on the Board of Governors of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys. Kerry is a cum laude graduate Boston University and also a graduate of the Boston University School of Law. He began his legal career at the American Association of Justice doing research in both medical malpractice and products liability law, where he was privileged to work as a colleague of Professor Thomas F. Lambert, Jr. a scholar, writer and lecturer in these areas of the law who influenced and inspired many trial lawyers to pursue careers aimed at protecting individuals’ bodily integrity and autonomy by striving to ensure that those who are injured by the misconduct or negligence of others can obtain justice in America’s courtrooms, even when taking on the most powerful interests.
