Scott Heidorn was asked to present the plaintiffs’ counsel’s perspective on a panel which included esteemed claims professional, Elizabeth Cushing, Vice President of Claims at CRICO and prominent defense attorney John Ryan, Esq. of Sloane & Walsh. The program which was co-sponsored by the Massachusetts Medical Society focused on how medical malpractice claims are evaluated, how the plaintiff and defense interact during a lawsuit and complying with the apology and disclosure stature in Massachusetts.

Russell X. Pollock chaired a panel which included Jayne Tyrrell, Esq., Director of the Massachusetts Interest on Lawyers’ Trust Accounts (IOLTA) Committee and Christopher R. Conroy, Esq., noted legal malpractice defense attorney. The panel addressed the history of IOLTA, impending changes to the rules governing IOLTA and recurring scenarios in which practitioners go awry of the IOLTA rules.

Scott currently serves as a member of Section Counsel for the Civil Litigation Section of the Massachusetts Bar Association and Chair of the Lawyer Referral Service.

Rich earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Health Policy and Management cum laude from Providence College and his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School. Prior to joining Bergstresser & Pollock, Rich practiced medical malpractice and health care law at a notable Providence Rhode Island law firm.
